Destin Captain’s Wall of Fame

The Destin History and Fishing Museum is proud to announce a new exhibit sponsorship with the Destin Charter Boat Association. The DCBA will be sponsoring the Destin Captain’s Wall of Fame exhibit. 

The Destin fishing industry began with the seine boat Captains who founded Destin’s World renowned charter fleet. Poster size biographies including photos and fishing history are being created for Destin’s fishing pioneers. The Captains’ families will be asked to help by providing needed information and materials. The Destin History and Fishing Museum appreciates the support of this local organization to further its mission of the preservation of Destin’s history. 

Isabel Graef, treasurer of the DCBA presented Museum Director Jean Melvin with the funds to purchase the display and the DCBA Lifetime Membership to the Museum.

The Destin History and Fishing Museum is a non-profit 501 C 3 foundation with the mission of preserving the heritage of the World’s Luckiest Fishing Village while documenting and sharing the complete history of Destin.
