New Exhibit for the Easter Season 
Open to Public through April 3, 2010


“Churches of Destin….In the Beginning” 

The Destin History and Fishing Museum invites you to view a new exhibit on the early churches of Destin. Included in the display are copies of hand-written church records of William T. Marler from 1902 thru 1928 which includes members, baptisms and marriages, the family bible of Clement E. Taylor printed by the National Publishing Company in 1870, an Easter card sent to the Marler family in April of 1927, a wood and iron cross crafted of wreckage from a sunken Spanish galleon found in the Gulf of Mexico, and summaries of the four earliest churches including the First Presbyterian Church, St. Andrews-By-The-Sea Episcopal Church, First Baptist Church, and The United Methodist Church. Admission is half price for those bringing in a church bulletin dated during the exhibit. The Destin History and Fishing Museum is located at 108 Stahlman Avenue Destin, Florida.
